The Galápagos Islands

This archipelago lies on the Equator 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador and is to some of Mother Nature’s weirdest creations. The wildlife here is not only weird, it is also curiously uninhibited by the presence of humans, making this the most famous wildlife-watching destination in the world. Tropical penguins, boobies with bright blue feet, giant tortoises and prehistoric-looking marine iguanas are just a few of the inhabitants and visitors can find themselves swimming with friendly sea lions and witnessing the bizarre courtship of sea birds up close. Visiting superyachts favour the months between December and May when the sea temperature is warmest.
