The French Riviera

Stretching from St Tropez to Monaco the French Riviera is the home of super yacht chic.

The line-up of yachts in the Vieux Port of St Tropez attracts admirers in droves. Anchor off the swathe of golden sand at Plage de Pampelonne and find yourself flanked by an array of the world’s finest yachts. ”Club 55” has been a lunchtime institution since Brigite Bardot said it was her favourite.

Notorious for its flamboyant nightlife; St Tropez’s triumvirate nightclubs are Les Caves du Roy, Papagayo, and the VIP Room, where anything might happen.  St Tropez serves hedonism and barefoot relaxation in equal measures.

Cruising east, dine at the Eden Roc or any one of the illustrious restaurants and hotels dotted along the way. The glittering town of Cannes greets with a hubbub of casinos, beach bars, designer shops and if you’re lucky, fireworks. The next day, a morning anchored off the idyllic Îles de Lérins provides the perfect antidote.

Nice and Monaco are separated by Belle Époque villas, sweeping bays, and picturesque anchorages. The wooded peninsular of St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat with its lavish villas and dramatic views was once home to David Niven, Somerset Maugham and Charlie Chaplin; and retains all of its old style charm to this day.
